The Ultimate Guitar Ear Trainer is designed to train guitarists how to play by ear instead of by sight Guitar players don't like to admit it, but most of us play by sight instead of sound. Think about it, we all know what major scales look like, what a pentatonic looks like, but many of us can't hum or whistle either. When we're transcribing, we often hunt for notes. Sometimes we can't even sing what we're transcribing.Traditional ear-training methods are no doubt valuable, but they generally don't apply directly to the guitar. Why? Because even if we can sing a melody perfectly, or hum the chord tones of a G7 flawlessly, we often can't play what we hear in our heads without hunting for notes. So what? Well, wouldn't you like to be able to play the guitar by ear? To know what certain sounds feel like? To play melodies without hunting for notes? To translate solo ideas from our inner ear right to our hands? When we sing, we don't care what our vocal chords look like. There are no patterns. We don't think about it. Rather, we know what the notes feel like in a way that's difficult to describe. Similarly, bugle players don't think about the exact placement of their lips and tongue when playing something by ear. They just know what certain sounds feel like.UGET is designed to train guitarists how to play by ear instead of by sight. UGET works by developing our relative pitch. Having good relative pitch means that given a starting note, you could play a complete melody after hearing it just a couple of times without hunting for notes. Now, just like anything else in music, some of us are going to be better at this than others. Some people don't need a tool like UGET because they're born with that ability. For the rest of us, we have to work at it. Hard. Limitations:· Only 1 position (2cd) is available. In the full version, you may choose any or all positions between Open and 12th.· Only 4-beat melodies are available.
